Collaboration Benefits Victims of Tennessee Tornadoes

After the destructive effects of recent Tennessee tornadoes, Jake’s Diapers has been called into action to help supply basic needs to those affected by the tornadoes.

Jake’s Diapers, a basic needs bank of Northeast Wisconsin, is partnering with the Community Resource Center Nashville for disaster relief efforts for Davidson, Wilson and Putnam counties; those hardest hit by last week’s tornadoes. The local organization will distribute supplies directly to the families impacted.

“We understand the importance and urgency of basic needs that families require after a disaster strikes,” shared Stephanie Bowers, founder of Jake’s Diapers. “Our local community saw the need to help and we wanted to gather resources as quickly as possible.”

A local company also stepped up to help with relief efforts. N&M Transfer Company, Inc., an expedited truckload carrier in Neenah, Wis., is collecting items and donating a trailer to haul the supplies. A trailer filled with supplies from this weekend’s collection along with Jake’s donations will travel to Tennessee today (3/9/20).

“This relief effort has been a huge success because of the generous people and companies of the Fox Valley area,” said Larry Briski, general manager of N&M. “It’s about the community that is rallying together to help perfect strangers get back on their feet.”
