Diapers Reach Rural Wisconsin Families in Need

Did You Know: Jake’s Diapers operates a locally-based diaper bank to serve those in our region in need.

Through the Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank (EWDB), Jake’s Diapers partners with other area organizations to ensure diapers reach disadvantaged populations served by these organizations.

One such partner helped us reach people in a rural area of Wisconsin, a population who struggle with getting needed resources.

“We live in a very rural county and transportation is a huge barrier,” Lindsay Campbell of Healthy Families Waushara said. “There are no hospitals located directly in our county. …  Many of the families we serve are below the federal poverty guideline and are receiving many public benefits.”

Healthy Families conducts home visiting with families from prenatal through age 5, focusing on health and bonding, Lindsay said, and they also partner with many different programs that also work with young children.

They recently joined Jake’s Diapers list of Diaper Drop partners to offer diaper supplies through our diaper bank network.

“We have already been able to provide families with diapers when they have been in need,” Lindsay said, “We sincerely appreciate this new resource for the families we work with!”

About Our Efforts in NE Wisconsin: Jake’s Diapers recognizes many families in our region of Wisconsin struggle on a regular basis with basic needs and hygiene necessities. This is why we’ve created the Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank Initiative to supply diapers to local families in need.
