Jake’s Partners with Risen Savior to help Economically Disadvantaged Students

Risen Savior Lutheran School of Milwaukee and Jake’s Network of Hope began a partnership in 2021 to provide basic needs items and other activities for the school’s 4K students.

Risen Savior Lutheran Schools is supported by Risen Savior Lutheran church, which also runs Youth Haven (an after school program) at the church/school campus. Based on data on the organization’s most recent WI DPI report, 94% of the students would classify as economically disadvantaged.

The church that supports the school and youth Haven just celebrated its 50th anniversary this summer, according to  Jennifer of Risen Savior. The school has been operating for 18 years.

“We frequently share books, food, school supplies, toys/prizes, and clothing with our students as needed,” Jennifer said. “Our Christian love fuels our passion to lift up those around us who need academic, spiritual, and physical help.”

The organization sourced a mix of winter coats, hats, toys, activity books and kitchen needs to help families of its organization.
