When the opportunity to help the local community surfaced, employees at Miron Construction were quick to jump into action.
“Hearing that one in three parents struggle to provide diapers for their baby, Miron Construction challenged its employees and neighboring businesses to a diaper drive through the company’s Wrapped in Love campaign,” said Terri Glassel, Miron’s Marketing Assistant. “At Miron, serving our communities drives our organization, and it was phenomenal to witness our team members living out that mission.”
Miron employees lead the way, Terri said, suggesting the diaper drive, coordinating the details and engaging other organizations in their neighborhood.
“We had a number of incentives available for those who donated diapers or gave a monetary donation,” Terri said, “ranging from jeans days and gift cards to fun items like wireless Bluetooth speakers and Yeti mugs.”
The campaign ran February 14 through the 28. Miron collected more than 9,000 diapers and the collaborative effort ran the total up to 14,547 diapers as well as 504 wipes and 69 changing pads, Terri said.
Participating businesses included Evergreen Credit Union, Fox Crossing Fire Rescue, Kurz Industrial Solutions, the Wisconsin Institute of Urology, WOW Logistics,Xe54, Essity, and the Saint James Lounge.
“To Miron, knowing that more families and children in our community will benefit from the comfort and safety of fresh diapers is what Building Excellence in our communities is all about,” Terri said.
