Cotton Babies Partners with Jake’s Diapers for Hurricane Relief Drive

(St. Louis, MO – NE Wisconsin) Cotton Babies of St. Louis, Missouri has donated three pallets worth of cloth diapers to Jake’s Diapers for its Hurricane Dorian relief effort. Cotton Babies is the leading supplier of cloth diapers in the world. The pallets contain a combination of approximately 3,500 cloth diapers, reusable inserts and wet bags. These diapers and accessories are donations coming from Cotton Babies’ national cloth diaper bank, called Share the Love.

“We heard about Jake’s donation drive for Hurricane Relief in the Bahamas and wanted to help,” stated Cotton Babies founder/CEO, Jennifer Labit. “These children and families are in desperate need of diapers. We had the diapers, and Jake’s has a proven track record of successfully getting supplies to the people who need them in times of crisis; so, it made sense to partner with Jake’s to get these resources to people who need them now.”

Earlier this week, Jake’s, through its Disaster Relief & Recovery Network, announced a relief effort to provide diapers and hygiene items to the Bahamas through AMAR, an international, charitable disaster relief organization. Weekly donations will be provided to AMAR, which has on-the-ground resources to get the supplies directly to Bahamian residents. “We are incredibly grateful for the support from Cotton Babies and their Share the Love diaper bank,” stated Stephanie Bowers, Founder and Executive Director of Jake’s Diapers. “With many still scrambling for food and shelter, they are also in dire need of diapers for their children. It’s a serious health and sanitary issue.”

In addition to seeking large quantity donations from suppliers, Jake’s has also launched a fundraising drive on the crowdsourcing platform Caring Crowd, so it can purchase additional supplies for the hurricane relief effort. To make an online donation, go to: http://bit.ly/savethebabieshurricanedorian.  Individual donations, up to $250, will be matched by Johnson & Johnson. “Every dollar donated makes a difference,” added Bowers. “So, for the individual donor, they can feel great knowing their donation will grow and make an even greater impact,” To make a donation by check, send it to: Jake’s Diapers, 1775 Bohm Drive, Little Chute, WI 54140 and note that the donation is for hurricane relief efforts.
