Down But Not Out

The wildfires in California have left a wake of destruction and death that people weren’t expecting. We forget that even in the United States, when a disaster strikes, it can turn peoples’ lives upside down.

Cara, who lives in California, lost her home but her family luckily has a found an apartment to live in. With rent for the apartment more than the mortgage for her home, practical items like food and diapers seem even more precious.

Still, even with the loss of her home and possessions, Cara maintains a positive outlook on things. As she said, even though the apartment is costly, her family was lucky to find it. Additionally, with the donation of diapers from Jake’s Diapers, Cara was able to put more money towards food, daycare, and other bills.

Diapering children continues to be a huge issue in the world and that includes here in the United States. When a disaster like the wildfires hits, it doesn’t take long to realize just how important things like diapers are.

California is struggling right now, but thanks to you, more babies are staying clean, dry, and healthy as families recover & rebuild. If you have any questions or want to hear more, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected].  We’d love to hear from you!
