How Do You Move A Warehouse Full of Diapers? Local Moving Team Volunteers for the Cause.

You’ve likely seen or maybe even hired Two Men & A Truck before, more often a service homeowners use to move to a new place.

In January, though, a local moving crew experienced a unique opportunity when Jake’s Diapers made the switch to its new home in Little Chute — and supported our organization with volunteer effort, tool.

“This year, Two Men and A Truck Appleton is attempting to do more in terms of giving back to the community,” said Madelyn Kolz of Two Men & A Truck. “We saw that Jake’s Diapers was looking for folks to come out and help with packing and sorting. I contacted Stephanie, and she mentioned that she was also needing some help with moving her operation into a larger space. Well, everything just fell into place after that! We were more than willing to help her out.”

The moving team included 8 volunteers that helped load up trucks starting at 8 a.m. on a snowy Wisconsin day and working until 3 p.m. to get the two, 23-foot moving trucks emptied into Jake’s new home.

“What Stephanie and the folks at Jake’s Diapers are doing is beautiful,” Madelyn said. “So many people go without necessities like diapers, pads, and other health products, and companies like Jake’s Diapers are really making a difference. Stephanie is giving her heart and soul into this cause, and that is the most inspiring thing for me.”

Some members from Two Men & A Truck also returned after moving day to help Jake’s continue to settle in, including Madelyn.

“A group of us came and helped with sorting and moving piles around in the new warehouse,” she said. “Jake and Austin (Stephanie’s sons) were probably my favorites from the day. Jake helped with wrapping diapers and gave us some pointers, and Austin helped the guys with moving and sorting boxes. It was a super fun time, and I’m hoping to set something up again like that!”

Thank you to Two Men & A Truck for helping Jake’s Diapers into its new home, we look forward to using our extra space in 2019.
