Dear Impact Club, Last Night Was AMAZING!!!

Last night was amazing. 90 people, passionate about making an impact, joined for the first meeting of the Impact Club Fox Cities. Each person donated $100, for a combined total of $9,000. Three charities, including myself, spoke about the work we do in our local communities. The crowd then voted, and they chose us to receive the $9,000, to help families here in the Fox Valley.

90 people, committing $100, in just one night (one hour, actually).  And they chose Jake’s Diapers.

I came home, in complete awe of how far we’ve come since that day in a shantytown in Peru; where we saw loving caregivers with no choice but to re-use disposable diapers.

I snuggled my kids a little extra, inhaling their sweet scent and warm hugs. As I changed my littlest ones diaper, I thought of the local families who will soon have a huge burden lifted. No more choosing between food and diapers. I thought of the peace of mind of having the ability to change my child when needed, and not having them stay in a diaper a little too long.

I can not thank the Impact Club enough for last night. Together we are making a difference. With last nights efforts focused on local impact, there are families in Haiti who are going without. Our CaringCrowd project (featured on NBC26) is focused on helping families in Haiti, whose community is unable to gather in amazing efforts like last night. If you feel led to join us in supporting our work in Haiti, you can do so here. If you feel led to help babies here in the Fox Valley, you can do so here.

Thank you for the joy you bring.
