Our partners stretch far and wide across our community, state, county and the world. One of our partners on the East coast happened to be one of the largest diaper banks in the country, distributing 9 million diapers a year and hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of hygiene essentials and baby gear. 

The Greater DC Diaper Bank (GDCDB) works to empower vulnerable families and individuals by providing an adequate and reliable source for basic baby needs and personal hygiene products across the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Through Jake’s partnership with GDCDB, we’ve supplied cloth diaper kits to its Nursery Project Program which distributes Nursery ‘bundles’ filled with the essentials to care for newborns safely to families in need. 

Each month, GDCDB distributes roughly 60 “bundles” of brand-new baby gear (and cloth diapers if requested) are distributed. Recently, Program Manager, Kristen Davis, noted , “ they have seen an increase in requests for cloth diapers.”

Diaper Need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry, and healthy. Since there is no government assistance available for diapers, this puts a huge financial strain on low-income & homeless families with children – Our National Cloth Network allows us to supply the cloth diaper kits to partners across the United States and beyond to those in need.
