Cloth Diapers Keep Kids Happier, Healthier

Jake’s long-time partners Ekisa Ministries continue to do great work for kids with disabilities in Uganda. All 16 children living in the organization’s children’s home have unique stories, live with a variety of disabilities and have overcome trauma – such as abandonment or abuse. Yet, each one continues to shine.

“Our children are amazing,” said Alyssa McIntyre of the nonprofit. “So many of them find joy in the simplest thing, like blowing bubbles, being tickled, or drinking hot chocolate. Their personalities vary, but each one is special and loved.”

In September, Jake’s distributed 47 larger sized cloth diaper changes to serve the needs of 5 youth in Uganda. Alyssa said this ongoing support ensures their children do not go without diapers.

“Diapers are expensive and often hard to find in Uganda, especially for older children. Jake’s help has allowed us to spend money on other important things. Our kids are much happier and healthier when they have clean, functioning diapers to rely on. Opening a box of diapers from Jake’s feels like opening presents on Christmas. It’s a relief to know that something so important is taken care of. We are extremely grateful for Jake’s help!”
